We enter a Joint Venture with German publishers E&M and Trurnit. We also open a Stockholm office.
Montel wins the Microsoft Challenge award for “Most Innovative Business Solution”. We co-launch powernews.org with E&M – Europe’s first English-German news portal for the power markets. We also launch our technical analysis service and organise our first conference.
We enter product and sales cooperation with SMHI – the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute.

Montel joins Powermonitor GmbH, a project to remotely monitor power plant production. A German district court rules against a claim by one of Germany’s top four producers that the monitoring service qualifies as industrial espionage.
